Casting problems with wav filetypes

Hi, new to the whole DJ thing. However not computer illiterate, so dont reply st00pidly

Yea, I cant play any wav files via shoutcast, I mean sure they play at my end, but via the winamp shoutcast plugin, when connected and sending bites, it just pauses... thus the listener hears nothing.

If anyone can help me here, i'd appreciate it much =o)
