Some questions someone could answer for me are:

Where can i get a server from. I have a webpage on geocities - will it work on there?

If so, then why wont it connect??

To be honest i dont know much internet lingo and all that rubbish so if someone wants to spend time helping a dumbass then please get hold of me!!!

Many thanks

shoutcast is a program not a webpage, you will have to actually have an OS to run it and a shell to execute it on. Geocities will simply not do.

if you don't know what an o.s. is, you probably shouldn't be running a shoutcast server.

Hmm... well, even with limited knowledge, you could do it. It would just be hard for you and either take people a lot of explaining or take you a lot of reading. If you have the will, then I think you could do it. You would probably learn a lot doing it, too.

Festerhead, in another post to someone else, posted some good links to guides and FAQs on setting up your own server. Check out his post at http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=136275 (its the first reply)

I offer a lot of help to those that are capable of finding where the power button is on their computer.

Why waste my valuable time helping someone that hasent the slightest comprehension of what an operating system is. It doesnt take a genius to figure this out. All it takes is someone willing and able to read the damn instructions. You have proven that you are not capable of doing that.

You proved yourself that you are by far no where near ready to accomplish such a task as simple as installing an application and editing a text file much less run a server to host this on.

My head is out of my ass and running my radio station and site. Been so for a long time. Can you say as much? I dont think so.
