Speed
Hi Guys,
I have set everything up and it works fine I just have one problems though the speed. I am running a 512MB Broadband connection and having problems. When I test my video it works fine but its like watching a snail, what do I need to edit so it goes a little faster. Thanks and all the best, |

Hi everyone:
What are your upload and download speeds?? Remember, unless you only want a few people watching (like your family or distant relatives), you need to LOWER the bitrate so you don't exceed your bandwidth (ISPs get VERY ANGRY over this). In other words, if your UPLOAD speed is 256K max. and you have a 128K video being streamed, you're only going to get TWO people at any given time. If you want to appeal to many people, that bitrate MUST be LOWERED. Heck, just to get 10 people under the above scenario, you're gonna hafta lower it all the way down to 24K (And I'd go 24/22 CBR Mono or AT LEAST 32/22 VBR Mono at that). Pat Cook Englewood, CO |
