It hasn't been updated... as far as I know

Sinced I moved to Linux, I'm not really into skinning... It's too much a hassle to boot up windows just to try the skin (xmms is not 100% bug-compatible with winamp). But Mbuga was made under Linux, anyway

Of course, if anyone wants to update Skinner's Atlas, he/she's got my permission, let's call it GPL

Ive tried using dreamweaver before :/

and I do keep trying it again lol, but i can never grasp it - It appears to me that writing your own html is easier :| - even with my crappy skills

I guess it would be worth my time if I got dreamweaver and just played around with it..bleh

I think you should change the size of the eq-vis. The 'laser-style' eq-vis looks great, but the way the wavy line goes off onto the right side ruins it somewhat.

In my opinion, the skin's in danger of becoming too busy: small components mixed with a large amount of non-component detail is a bad mix, IMO. It's the biggest downfall of the average Breed-style skinner, imo, to try and fit in as much crap as possible, and the skin ends up getting lost in amongst the graphics, so to speak.

Those red knob things on either side of the text/nums area would make cool animated buttons elsewhere (you would swivel them from side to side when you click them)

//////by the way, you mentioned you didn't know what had changed since winamp 5. Take note of the new "stretchable playlist" feature in the winamp options. It's a good feature for some skins, and presumably many people use it, but the bad news is that it makes your tiled areas look like shit much of the time, unless you skin them with that feature in mind.

I agree with db about the EQ. That bothers me as well. It only matters now though, as I never use the EQ, but in the sceme of things its kinda important i think.

Everything else looks good to me though.

thanks for the input stillwater ^^ - ill have to look into that pl thing you mentioned.

one of the things i wanted to do with this skin was make it very unusual - definately not for people new to winamp, it was never meant to be a project that focused on aesthetics at all :s which may seem strange :| (it does when i think about it) but i just wanted to do it because ive never really attempted anything like this before :/

I do appreciate your criticism however - and I will try my best to make it slightly easier to use and not too cluttered :/ although im so far into it im not sure how im going to do it -.-

also, random fact - this skin (so far) has 350 layers, and is split into four different psp files ^^ lol.

////i will sort the eq out, i did try something to fix it - but it didnt work :P lol

Of course, you could always just cut out the offending eq vis line, and include a eqmain with it, if people really need it

but if he cut out the line, there would be no point in having that holographic/laser/whatever display, which looks quite cool - and I think it looks cooler when it actually does something.

The problem is that he wanted to make it symetrical - but I don't think the asymmetry that would result in adjusting it to the right would be much of a problem in this particular skin.

Hey guys ^^ long time no s.. chat. Not sure whether I should've started a new thread for this :S *shrug*

Well, I finally did it. it's finished - after two years (or howvere long it has been -.-) of seeing it unfinished on my hdd i decided to spend a night doing it.

Now it's just the very basics mind, none of the optional windows are skinned - it's very hard to go back to s style you once had a good knowledge of creating after such a long time. I will however be getting some help from an old friend in regards to this - so hopefully some time soon it will be 100% complete.

Not sure if I should submit it to winamp.com just yet or whether I should wait a while until its all done.. T.T
