Known bugs - Read This First

A list of known bugs can be found in the FAQ
Please read this first before posting here.

Any new posts which refer to known bugs will either be locked or moved to the Winamp3 Technical Support forum.

Posts which are covered by the faq (known bugs, common error messages, unimplemented features, etc) or by the other known bugs / not bugs sticky thread will also meet a similar fate.

Bear in mind that the (build #488) version on the winamp.com homepage
is now approx 10 months old, and all of the bugs are probably known by now.
So, in the unlikely event that you think you've found a new bug that's never been reported before, please follow these guidelines:

A proper bug report should include all relevant system specs:
pc or motherboard make/model, cpu, ram, soundcard, videocard, windows os, directx, etc.

Also include the precise method of how to reproduce the bug.

If relevant to the problem, please also tell us what file formats you are playing (or trying to play) at the time, eg. mp3, wav, mod, midi, wma, cda, ogg, mpeg, avi, wmv, asf, other, any/all.

Please also confirm that you have installed the official wa3update patch. The Winamp3 application should not be running at the time you install the patch.
This patch contains newer versions of most of the default input and output components, and fixes many of the known issues with Winamp3 v1.0.488 public release version.
See post-3.0 updates sticky topic for further details.

Note: Problems caused by 3rd-party components or skins are not classed as Winamp3 bugs.
Please include a list of all installed 3rd-party components and skins, and also confirm whether the bug does or does not exist with the default installation.
If the bug is 3rd-party related, then it should be reported to the relevant component/skin author, not here. Read more about proper handling of Third Party Components/Skins that may be causing problems here.

Further help/info/details can be found in the troubleshooter guide and faq.
Also read these before posting here.

Again, unless you have a new and unknown reproducable bug, please post in the Winamp3 Technical Support forum instead. Cluttering this forum with duplicate or bogus reports only makes it harder for us to fathom out the real bugs (most of which are already known, and some of which are already fixed in the internal developer builds).

Finally, do not post any problems with internal developer builds here.
Internal builds are NOT supported.

Thank you.
