Static in sc_trans_linux (040) when switching tracks
I apologize if there is an answer to this out there already, I have been searching and can't find an answer.
Basically, the problem I have is that on occasion when listening to my stream it starts playing static. The visualization in my Winamp 2.81 looks like it's playing the song but all I hear is noise. If I reconnect to the stream it corrects itself. At first I thought it was a problem with VBR files in the list but now it looks like it also happens when switching from files encoded 160 and files encoded at 192. Sc_Trans_Linux is running on a redhat server, connecting to a DNAS on the same server and sees no problems. The stream plays at 56kps/22khz. for example: <05/23/03@06:58:53> [DECODE] Opened zeromancer - Clone Your Lover (Project Pitchfork Remix).mp3 <05/23/03@06:59:33> [MAIN] Title Updated <05/23/03@07:02:59> [DECODE] Opened ohgr - water.mp3 <05/23/03@07:03:40> [MAIN] Title Updated Gave me an earful of static when the ohgr track started to play. Zeromancer = 160/44k and ohgr = 192/44k I guess the magic question is whether sc_trans wants files that are all the same bitrate? Who knows, maybe it's just a fault in winamp (probable). Thanks in advance. http://www.finelinetucson.com:5190/ http://www.finelinetucson.com/radio/scxml.php |
