viewing stream settings

what do you people set your nsv decoder at I have had no luck with the settings I have tried i have a 1.5 meg 300 up dsl connection so it should work just wondering if my settings are wrong

Like in the ohmytrance station the music is like 20 seconds ahead of the video. Its almost tough to watch and same with the other channels, now i know there will probably be some delay but 20 seconds? if not

is it possible to ever have that trance channel that streams at 300k well hey any stream at 300k or higher to have good sync audio and video wise? what am I doing wrong guys

I've got the same problem and I will be looking for a fix. I'm using a cable modem and this was the same for me with a DSL connection, and,,,,, setting the video/audio offset tweak in the preferences does nothing. I'll try a few more settings and check back. Please let me in on any thing you may find about this ok, Dr Feelgood ?:-)
peace

I don't seem to have the delay problems.

Make sure you are using Winamp 2.91 and not 2.90. There were some sync fixes in 2.91

I've tried that seetting along with all sorts of other settings and nothing works. I guess we are gonna have to wait for this little part of winamp to get somewhat more developed. bu bu bu bu but,,,,please post if you get it to work. I will ;-)

Wait --------Please explain.....You say it works... do you mean it works in the internet tv section of the winamp library ?

If so ........It would be soo cool if you told me what you did. or If you could tell me what type of internet connection you are using.
I'm using a cable modem and all the streams are choppy and the audio and video is all out of sync. Please explain your success. My radie stations stream extreamly well. Just the internet tv stations do what I said. It would be great if I could get them to work.
???????????????????????????????????????????????????You said that they fixed it. In the 2.92 version ? or what.
thanx, mrdak....*

I didn't think the buffer setings mattered too much though, so I figured they must have fixed the bug

ok, i am having the same sync problem. i'm streaming a video channel with nsvscsrc and the audio gets worse the longer a user watches. what can i try to fix this problem ? if a user stops and restarts, it's fine until it gets off again. yall talk about making some sort of adjustment but i think thats in winamp itself. when i watch other channels like ohmytrance and XDM i dont see the problem, it's just with my channel so i think its nsvscsrc.

thanx,
Blup

heh, no this is bug in either the way winamp is decoding NSV or in NSV itself, I have noticed that any station that stacks files in order to stream them (uses nsvscsrc or other stacking apps) the stream will slowly lose sync.

We just have to wait until something more definitive comes from nullsoft. Hopefully it's just a decoding thing and the next winamp will fix it.

I don't know if this helps guys, but I was about to pull my hair out trying to get OHMYTRANCE and other streams to sync with video and audio. I have finally found that I have to disable my DSP in order for it to work. If you go into your DSP section in Preferences and select None, then click on the stream you want again and it should sync just nicely. No DSP to make it sound great, but it works.

Some bugs were fixed while others (such as the static noise on low-fi audio sampling streams/NSV files) were NOT fixed.

I just downloaded THE latest version of Winamp 2 just a few seconds ago (I downloaded the FULL version too!).

I'm tellin' ya NSV still plays better in Winamp 3 on my machine. If ya want, I'll even record a sample of what I mean.

Cheers for now :-)
