Skipping live feed?

when i listen to my own radio station, it always plays the first 15 seconds and then it replays that same thing over and over again.. does not go to another song... restarts every 15 seconds or so and gets louder everytime. and does the person that wants to listen to my radio station have to have winamp? or can they have windows media player?

Give me a link and I will try out your station.

Also, what are you using to put out your source stream? Are you using the offical Shoutcast DSP plugin for Winamp 2?

They don't need Winamp, but they can use Musicmatch and I think Real. However, you can't use windows media.

This is a sig of some nature.

Classic example of a bad upload stream.

I have had that happen to a couple DJ's on my station before. Not much one can do about it.

You can try lowering the bitrate you are broadcasting at and see if it still happens.

If your broadcasting via winamp and then you go and click on your station link, it may have a tendancy to load winamp and thus re lood your station.

ITs verrry anoying! Lets see what else. To listen to your stream without winamp go to real player or some other alternative and type in directly on that program
