Did you change the DNAS variables srcIP and destIP from ANY?

Is your DNAS and Winamp/DSP combo on the same machine?

What exactly are you entering for "Address" and "Port" in the DSP?

hey hester-

1) haven't changed the settings...
; SrcIP, the interface to listen for source connections on (or to make relay
; connections on if relaying). Can and usually will be ANY or 127.0.0.1
; (Making it 127.0.0.1 will keep other machines from being able to
; broadcast using your shoutcast server )
SrcIP=ANY

; DestIP, IP to listen for clients on (and to contact yp.shoutcast.com)
; can and usually will be be ANY. If your machine has multiple IP addresses,
; set this to the one you want it to be accessed by.
DestIP=ANY

2) the DNAS and Winamp/DSP combo are on the same machine.

3) "Address" and "Port" in the DSP - 64.85.6.68 and 7998, 8000 and 8002

any other settings i can send to you? i can see the input levels are fluxuating like sound is coming into the player but its not geting sent out. it just won't connect...

hope all is well.

Since the Winamp/DSP combo and DNAS are on the same machine, use "127.0.0.1" (without the quotes) or "localhost" (without the quotes) as the Address in the DSP.

You probably have a dynamic IP and it has changed. Take a look at what your IP is and see if you have the correct entry, although if the DNAS and DSP are on the same machine you should use 127.0.0.1 to avoid all this in the future as festerhead suggested.
