Andy Irvine - mandolin, mandola player and singer, veteran of many famous Irish bands.
Ged Foley - one of the best acoustic guitarists around. Impeccable pedigree. Kevin Burke - a man rarely seen without a fiddle in his hands. Jackie Daly - melodeon. He sits there with a beautiful smile on his face and it is sometimes dificult to see what he contributes, so at ease does he look, his fingers barely seem to move, but without him you just know the music would loose it's richness. Superstars each one. Wait a minute, this is no fantasy, this is real. They're called 'Patrick Street' and I saw them only a month or two ago ![]() UJ |

I can't decide on just the one musician for each instrument, so it will have to be a conglomeration, where they take it in turns across a quadruple cd box set . . .
Drums: Billy Cobham, John Bonham, Cozy Powell, Bill Bruford Percussion: Santana percussion section Bass: Jaco Pastorius, Bill Laswell, Geddy Lee, Stanley Clarke, Youth Martin Guitars: Dave Brock (Hawkwind), Steve Hillage, Robert Fripp, Frank Zappa Tabla: Talvin Singh Sitar: Ravi Shankar Kybds: Toby Marks (Banco de Gaia), Pete Namlook, Brian Eno, Richard Wright, Edgar Froese Sax: Nik Turner (ex Hawkwind) Flute: Ian Anderson Lead vocals: any of above Other vocals: S. O'Connor, Liz Frazer, Siouxsie, Mel (Astralasia), Natacha Atlas, Sandy Denny Mental!
