Connected but no sound

i got turntables hooked up to my comp. i can hear them play in the speakers. I can record sets with Creative recorder. I have sound blaster live 1024 whatever. People can connect to me but no music plays. i must have played with every setting and plugged the cord from my tables into the back of every hole on the sound card. and played with the volume mutes and controls. any suggestions???
