Error Connecting to Host

After downloading the DSP and Shoutcast server 1.92, the DSP fails to connect to the server. I have followed all directions correctly, and I am fairly sure that it has nothing to do with the port I have selected (port 8000.) I have tried other ports, and other IP's, (127.0.0.1, my computer name, localhost, etc.)

I have a firewall and Apache web server installed, but closing these seem to have no effect. Any suggestions?

This will get a better response in the SHOUTcast Technical Support forum. Hopefully, a mod will move it there shortly.

Thanks.

Is the DNAS up and running when you try to connect?
Any errors in the DNAS log?
What do you have as the address and port in the DSP?

Yes, the DNAS is running whenever I attempt to make the connection. There are no errors in the DNAS logs... I've tried both 127.0.0.1 and localhost as the address, and I've tried several different ports, but I changed back to the default (8000,) since changing it didn't seem to make a difference.

Another interesting tidbit:

I reinstalled Windows late last night. The first thing I did was run Winamp. Oddly enough, it actually connected. I set it up, and even had another person listen to my stream over the internet - they said it worked just fine. I soon shut it down for the night. This morning I tried using Shoutcast again, but I ran into the same problem I had been experiencing - error connecting to host.

I run Windows Me and have a firewall installed, but exiting or allowing all traffic on the firewall seems to have no effect...
