Help a DJ
A friend of mine is hosting a shoutcast server and I am unable to be a DJ on it.
I have all the correct info in (IP, password, etc.) yet I still can't connect. I am behind a router. Are there any ports that I would need to open up as a DJ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Sorr, I didn't look around before I posted... I found that stick up at the top. Sorry!
Edit: Actually, I didn't find an answer there. Any help would still be appreciated. |

A router tends to let out everything so more than likely you are good on your end. What does his side look like? Is he running a firewall, WinXP, router, etc.?

He has WinXP but no firewall or router...
Another question: Does the shoutcast plugin produce an error log? I looked but can't find. Thanks. |

He needs to open the correct ports to allow you to connect. To allow incoming data. NOt outgoing. but both outgoing, and incoming on the port that the shoutcast server is running on

XP has a built-in firewall, did he disable it?
