No error messages but...
I'm not getting any errtors of any meaning except for what I cause my self
But I have many people saying they can't connect to my station. I'm sure it's something maybe I'm doing. I'm not really swift with this but am trying to learn. I'm on cable modem with a firewall but have the firewall set for WinAmp and Shout Cast server to be servers. My cable modem addy doesn't change 65.33.16.78 I start up shout cast and winamp. Looks fine no error messages. I tend to all so be online thru AOL. That addy changes even on cable modem. Was wondering why some people can conect and some can't. My station is Huck Radio under Mixed. When I try http://65.33.16.240:8000/ addy it won't conect. Most people who can't conect say it just stalls out. I have it linked thru http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutc...e=filename.pls I have a feeling this is a no no. But seems to work for some people. I've read a lot but get confused because I have MS, the illness not service. I'm doing everything wrong aren't I? Please don't don't tell to give up. TIA. John Huckleberry or Huck

http://65.33.16.240:8000 -> Cannot find server or DNS Error
1. Is your DNAS (SHOUTcast server) on? 2. Are you using a Winamp/DSP combo (source) to send tunes to the DNAS? 3. Any errors logged in the DNAS? (humor us by checking again) 4. Did you follow any of the setup tutorials? |

This is my log upon reopenning the Shout Cast DNAs. I re-read the install and other read me listings. I think maybe if I read right, but where I get confused maybe, That being on cable modem Road Runner 65.33.16.78 and having AOL Online Service that I have to set an addy on this section of the DNAs? SrcIP: The IP interface to bind the source listener to. Only important on machines with more than one IP interface or ethernet card. Default is to listen to all ip addresses, when set to ANY. DestIP: The IP interface to listen for clients on. Only important on machines with more than one IP interface or ethernet card. Default is to listen to all ip addresses, when set to ANY. When I run wincfg my ppp adapter is changeble because it's an aol addy. but my RTL39(a) BASED ndis is showing 65.33.16.78 This is the IP that shows when I do a check thru IE 5.0 using just Road Runner. If I do it while using AOL and there browser I get the changable addy. I have the DNAs set to any, this is wrong right? :-/ Other info from wincfg: Host name: HUCK.aoldsl.net DNS Server 152.163.207.134 Subnet 255.255.252.0 Default gateway 63.33.16.6 DHCP Server 65.32.2.107. Ok um maybe it's that I need to set scr and dst ips to??? which number... my head hurts... should "any" still work? |

Um what's a gud message? Is this a good message? Thank you. I'm starting to wonder if it's only AOL members who can't log on...
