streaming from delay server

Hello guys,

I want to stream from a other server. so not from my local ip. First I looked for a free server and I found one. It is freewebpage.com. Then I uploaded with ftp the shoutcast tool. Can somebody help me what to do now? Or are there anay other recomendations.

You cant host your stream from a website unless you have telnet access to the webserver.

On a free server you have telnet access?

Uh huh. Sure you do.

Whatever...telnet in and execute shoutcast-1-9-2-windows.exe if that is what you put there.

no it is reflex.at with 50 mb space I am there for long time. Almost the first one. I have there Telnet Access. My site also runs there Http://reflex.at/~bernd.bacher or in remote Http://jumpfm.tk

but how i have to config my shoutcast and the shoutcast on the server? or i only have to access the server shoutcast??

oh my god...I can hardly understand what you are saying here.

What is it that you want?

How to configure your shoutcast server or how to telnet into a remote server and run shoutcast?

Better yet...save us going around and around by reading this first...

now i have accessed the server with telnet. Then i get this:

strange I cannot expand it. I can choose xmodem xmodem1k xmodemchecksum ymodem ymodem1k and Zmodem. Do not know what is the meaning of it. then if i choose one i get: You have 11 minutes bo begin receiving.

Try contacting the people that host your site and ask them for tech support.

I still cant believe that you have telnet access and they are ok with you running the server from their site.

Man...when they see the bandwidth you are going to suck up, they are SO gonna freak out.
