Haven't made any skins in a long while...
Btw. one question, can you submit other files than .wsz to the classic.winamp.com skins? You see i have made a few custom AVS Presets for this skin too and i would like to include them too, but if you can't then i think i will just have to submit the skin only... Anyway, tell me what you think? (or if i have made some mistakes since it really has been a looong time since i have made skins... (not that im good at it, but i don't necessarily know about all the skinning parts)) Download the skin with the avs presets Download the skin file only |

But you can include avs presets in the .wsz (and provide instructions in the readme and a comment in the description, so people will know).

It's an installer where you can check the skin and/or the presets.
My antivirus says it has no threat, but I wouldn't have tried it if I weren't on linux

Oops sorry my bad about the double links, i was in a hurry so i forgot to change the extension on the link
![]() the link to the wsz file only goes like: http://koti.mbnet.fi/tuggummi/misc/Gray-on.wsz Sorry again ![]() And thanks for the feedback, i guess i'll just submit the wsz file only then with no avs presets (i doubt that anyone would bother to rename the wsz, then extract the presets and then view them in avs...) Thanks again [edit]btw. the exe is made with NSIS by our dear Nullsoft so no danger in there (i wouldn't even know how to create a script that would harm your computer somehow...)[/edit]

Quite a lot of people include custom presets with their skins (inside the WSZ). Of course, only a minority of people will ever bother to extract the presets, but then only a minority will be bothered watching the preset in the first place. At least put it in so that if someone wants to check it out, they can. (and learn to make Milkdrop presets - they're much better
)

You know you're gonna lose ![]() [edit] forgot to say the important thing, i already submitted it with no presets, and even i can't be bothered to include them in the wsz file with instructions ![]() [/edit] |

It's not a bad skin Tug, but your AVS's are much better
. Always nice to see a avser making skins or vice versa.

As far as I'm concerned, it's simple: They both have their pros and cons: AVS presets look great, and you can do far more varied things with them, but the beat detection in Milkdrop is far tighter, and the ways in which a preset-maker can make the preset respond to the music is more varied and sophisticated in Milkdrop, so the presets tend to be more dynamic and less monotonous. Me, I love it when visuals correspond strongly with music, so Milkdrop wins. But everyone's different, and each to their own...
