Intro File troubles

http://timpowers.no-ip.info:8000/listen.pls

I've just added an intro file to my little backwater radio station its poorly recorded but it seems to play fine.

However, it seems that after it plays the stream doesn't switch to the normal playlist for some reason.

Any thoughts?

Looks like I'm not the only one with these troubles, does anyone know how to solve them?

I'm not desperate to have an intro file, I was only playing around, but it certainly would be nice if it worked the way it was supposed to.

make sure that the intro file is properly encoded at the same encoding settings as the stream.

Pease double check the sample rate and number of channels are the same for both your intro and your target stream.

Load the file in Winamp, play it, and press Alt+3 to get information on the file.

ok got it set to the right stuff but it still doesn't seem to be working. here is the stuff from the config file or the server.

; ContentDir specifies the directory location on disk of where to stream
; on-demand content from. Subdirectories are supported as of DNAS 1.8.2.
; Default is ./content, meaning a directory named content in the same directory
; as where sc_serv was invoked from.
ContentDir=C:\MyMusic\Ska\Radio

; IntroFile can specify a mp3 file that will be streamed to listeners right
; when they connect before they hear the live stream.
; Note that the intro file MUST be the same samplerate/channels as the
; live stream in order for this to work properly. Although bitrate CAN
; vary, you can use '%d' to specify the bitrate in the filename
; (i.e. C:\intro%d.mp3 would be C:\intro64.mp3 if you are casting at 64kbps).
; The default is no IntroFile
IntroFile=C:\MyMusic\Ska\Opening.mp3

with what I have there should it work, or did I put something wrong?
THANKS!

Your intro played at 24 kbps 11 kHz Stereo.
If you're broadcasting at 24 kbps then you're probably at 22 kHz Mono.

IntroFile=C:\MyMusic\Ska\Opening.mp3

Is that the path to the latest mp3? Also did you restart the DNAS after making the change?

Check to see if you have the "Nullsoft MP3 Output plugin" (I'm not sure if it is a standard plugin or not). You will need an ACM codec installed on your system for this to work though.

Mine works now

I've gotten my intro file to work, the problem was with my sound editor, it wasn't actually saving the files at the bitrates that it said it was for some reason, so I got a new program.

You can download a 21 day trial of Cool Edit Pro from CNET.
