Little Help Here Please

Ok, im trying to set up a server for other people to broadcast on.
And im really stumped on what im doing wrong. Im not behind a firewall, and ive DMZd my IP for the router.
I can connect to myself if i supply an IP and password.
When my friend connects i get 2 differant errors depending.

when port 8000 is used
<07/17/03@00:08:23> [dest: ...] server unavailable, disconnecting

when port 8001 is used.
<07/17/03@00:17:34> [source] invalid password from GET / HTTP/1.0 ...
I know she is using the propper password. GRRRR
Any ideas? thank you.
