well I know some may of seen the jumpy vid from E3 but have a look at this

looks like a battle is coming on with Doom 3 and Half - Life 2

they say it'll run on a 700-MHz machine, with a GeForce 2 (could be 3?). buggered if i remember.

What Valve did, since they run COunterstirke and other online First person shooters which are ridiculously popular, they made it so that when you updated the game you participated ina survey of what kind of PC speed/graphics etc.. you nave.

They noticed that theres a whoel SHIT load of people in teh 7-800 mhz range. So, they made their "engine" for their game scaleable, so it will scale back all the way so that it will actually run, not just 'turn on" on whatever system they say it will. That was their main goal of the engine, for everyone to be able to play it on their computer.

Why? SHIT LOADS OF MONEY HAHAHHA AHHHHHHHHHHHH

Take a look at the new bink video's of it, in high res glory (1024x786), all over the net. www.3dgamers.com seems to have nice fast servers. as well as www.gamershell.com
