yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error
Hi. I was trying to install a broadcast station at home just to see how it works. Well it seems the shoutcast server installation worked fine and so did the listener. The one thing that doesn't worked fine is:
My IP is, for example AAA.BBB.CCC.DDD. I'm sure. The listener manages to connect to my server. But in the server monitor everything goes fine but one item. It gives me the following message: "yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: EEE.FFF.GGG.HHH:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))" Where EEE.FFF.GGG.HHH is an IP address different of AAA.BBB.CCC.DDD. Should they be equal? I have ADSL at home. Thanks for any help |

You need to activate port forwarding in the ADSL router/modem for the particular Shoutcast ports, in order to have the incoming requests be forwarded from the modem to your computer.

I made all the other reccomended changes as far as that is concerned and it did not make a difference.. the server will conncect when I use Dialup
