Dee2 (or any dsp) and equalizer at the same time.
Recently I came across a blunder i had made that was destroying my sound quality. I was using dee2 (dsp) with the winamp equalizer on. Before I turned it off i was getting alot of hiss. What I am wondering is this, can the two coexist peacefully? Or is that just too much processing? Does DSP basically replace the equalizer?

I've got some plug-ins to cooperate with the EQ pretty well, actually. Usually, the more processing the song does to the sound, the worse it will sound with other plug-ins/the EQ. If you find a plug-in that does light processing, it might work. Or turn off some effects in Dee, to get a similar effect. If you turn the EQ on and use a plug-in that does special effects like reverb and "3D" sound, that would probably work good. In other words - the bad mix is a mix of two plug-ins that both equalize the audio, or change the overall output volume.
To use multiple plug-ins at once, use MuchFX2. Link: http://classic.winamp.com/plugins/de...omponentId=775 |
