Volume Levelling
Ok, so I'm new to the world of WinAmp and its components, btu already I like it better than most of the other audio players I've tried. One thing it's lacking, though, is volume levelling. SO I found RockSteady, and it looks like it'll work ... if I can figure out how to install it. I'm using the preAlpha release, because I guess the new version isn't finished yet, but where exactly am I supposed to put it, and how do I get WinAmp to acknowledge that it's there?

Well, RockSteady appears to be a 3rd party Classic Winamp 2.x plugin, and not a Winamp3 component. Are you certain that you didn't intend to post in the Winamp 2 Technical Support instead of here in the Winamp3 Tech Support forum??
I'll assume you are using Winamp3 and not Winamp, since you posted here. To normalize sound levels in Winamp3, don't use RockSteady. Download/install the ReplayGain DSP Component (normalization for Winamp3 Build 488). It works very well. I use it all the time. Note: make certain Winamp3 is closed (not running) at the time you install it. Don't email or PM me concerning Winamp. Instead, either start a NEW TOPIC or post a REPLY in the appropriate thread in these forums. This will also benefit others who may have a similar question or problem. But before posting, please first Search the forums and read all FAQs and all Sticky threads.
