What plug-ins will I need to install to get Winamp to display Japanese and Chinese characters correctly in the playlist, main window, and media library?

it's impossible, you have to use a different player: http://www.foobar2000.org/

it'll only work on winnt/2k/xp because win9x/me don't support unicode

there are tricks (search the forum!) to make winamp2 display non-latin characters for one language (dunno about the ml) but not for two different languages

they change winamp's menus and configuration dialogs into that language

I had to change the font of the playlist(in the skin) for it to display japanese titles.
