First few seconds of tracks are played back "Fast Forwarded"

Hi all,

we have a shoutcast stream running on a 256 kilobit upstream connection, 40 kb/s @ 22050 Hz (stereo).

The problem occurs just after a song change. The first few seconds are played back normally, then, for about 5 seconds, the song is fast-forwarded, after that it's all fine.

To me, this sounds like a buffer problem somewhere (between the Winamp client-plugin and the server?). Any ideas how we can fix this?
