Album title/year guessing software?
As the title suggests, is there a program that can look at ONE song (not the entire album) and guess the original album and year that song appeared on? Doesn't seem like it would be that hard but the closest I've seen in WinCue, which came up in a search. A stand-alone software would be better.
Ideally said software would auto-edit the ID3v2 tags to reflect this information. Thanks, S |

Tried out MusicBrainz tagger. Works great except I already have all my id3 tags set except for the album. How do I ONLY change the album title?
Was thinking I could use MB to write the ID3v1 tag, then sync the album titles from v1 --> v2, then sync the entire v2 tag --> v1. But the program I use to sync (tag&rename) will only sync the ENTIRE tag as far as I am aware. Any program that will JUST sync certain fields? I'm open to any other suggestions. Basically I want to edit every one of my MP3s to reflect the correct album title (and possibly track #) but at the same time NOT change the rest of the tag. Thanks... |

Hmmmm... Duh. I could just make every id3v2 tag have a blank album title, create the id3v1 tag in MB, then sync to id3v2 without overwriting current tags. That should work.
