Caps lock key

To those who fuss at people who use the caps lock key:

1. USERS KEYBOARD HAS A DISABILITY (BROKEN CAPS BUTTON).. AND CAN ACCESS CAPS ONLY
IN WHICH CASE THE KEYBOARD IS COVERED UNDER THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITES ACT... AS THE TYPER MAY BE DISABLED AND REQUIRE THE USE OF THE KEYBOARD..CAPS OR NOT...

OR

2. THE TYPER HAS A VISION DISABILITY AND NEEDS THE CAPS TO SEE
BETTER...ALSO COVERED UNDER THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT...

MORAL OF THIS STORY.." ITS A NEW , POLITICALLY CORRECT WORLD OUT THERE, AND IT WOULD AMAZE YOU HOW MANY THINGS WERE AN ANNOYANCE LAST YEAR AND A LEGALLY PROTECTED RIGHT THIS YEAR"

SO.. IT IS ACTUALLY ILLEGAL NOW FOR YOU TO REQUEST SOMEONE TURN OFF CAPS... IT IS LEGALLY CONSIDERED A VISUAL IMPAIRMENT TOOL . TO EVEN SAY SOMETHING TO SOMEONE ABOUT IT AFTER BEING ADVISED OF THIS CONSTITUITES A FEDERAL OFFENSE..HARRASSMENT OF A DISABLED INDIVUDUAL DURING THE AUTHORIZED USE OF A TOOL OR DEVICE THAT LENDS ITSELF TO ASSISTING THE USER WITH THEIR DISABILITY...

That's only true if they have that disability. If you didn't know that they had a disability, then you wouldn't be in trouble - they would just let you know.

People who are visually impared can increase the screen font of their browser instead of using caps lock.

Being disabled doesn't give you the right to use poor grammer. Only lazyness gives you that right.

Registry hack to disable Caps Lock:

http://www.mech.utah.edu/~bamberg/re.../CapsLock.html

I just want a guinea pig to try it out for me...

edit: Never mind, I tried it. It works!

There's no need to tell me when I'm right;
I operate on that principle exclusively and with absolute certainty

Ok, so if it's legal to type in all caps, then I should be able to turn in English essays written in all capital letters and still get an A on the paper, right?

Right. You could also print the entire thing in yellow ink on white paper for bonus points.

You know since you brought your keyboard the average scroll lock key light has used up enough electricity to power a kettle for a day

Go ahead, use it. It's not mine and I'm probably gonna change it soon anyway.

It used to be useful in the olden days (before DOS even). I guess nobody bothered taking it off.

Yeah, it doesn't have a use anymore. They just keep it for backwards compatibility I guess.

In Excel, when Scroll Lock is enabled, the arrow keys move the scrollbars. When disabled, it navigates through the cells. Try it.

System Request is even less functional.

At least the Print Scr part of it still has some use though, if only for screen shots
