In desktop mode, desktop icons behave strangely
Hello -
I downloaded Geiss 2 today while looking for Drempels, ran it for the first time...great stuff! Desktop mode + screenshot ability really made this the best plugin I've seen. However... In desktop mode, right-clicking on the icon doesn't bring up the same context menu. Namely, the "Rename" option is the one I noticed that was missing. From here on I'm guessing at the technical aspects, forgive me if I'm a bit off ![]() I'm guessing that Geiss 2 takes a snapshot of the icons just before starting, puts up a drawing window that's borderless and the full size of the desktop, then draws the icons back onto that palette as the visualization goes. Is support for renaming in the works for a future version? I can see the difficulty involved with the Windows "inline" renaming, if I'm right about the drawing method, but perhaps just popping up a dialog asking for the new name would work. -- Chris |
