where is the "who the fuck cares, they will release it when it and they are damn good and ready, so this thread should be locked and deleted becuase it serves no point and clutters up the GD and won't result in anythign but a flame war between the smart members and the idiots pushing for WA5 to be released early" option?

What's so wrong about people being curious and having an interest in an upcoming product? Sure, we can tell them to search the forums, but do they really do that? No. And why should this thread be locked? Only negative post so far would be yours.

I'd have to side with Reaper on this one. People are curious about Winamp5. A lot are wondering when it will be released, when all the good stuff will happen to Winamp. Its not going to matter that much longer, and that this is a legit thread that shouldn't be closed. I am going against what I have already done in requesting threads to be closed that discuss about Winamp5, but I would like to change my policy that I have made, but only lock threads and edit them if there is a link to a site offering the Winamp5 beta (which is way beyond outdated since the leak I heard about last month).

that's interesting... especially as Winamp 2.95 isn't an official release either....
