streaming karaoke help

I'm wondering if there's a way to stream lyrics to songs to support online radio karaoke? Like how the titles change in users winamp, could you have lyrics show somehow as well? Am I understandable?!?

I'm not sure how you'd sync up the lyrics with the mp3 delivery.

Have you tried using a web page to display the lyrics then change the page on a new song? Of course, since SHOUTcast isn't realtime the web page display and stream would not be in parallel.

I was thinking I'd use some sort of voice chat app for it, so I suppose I could just paste the lyrics to the chatroom for that.. I was hoping maybe it'd have like a bouncie ball-esque thing to scroll in the title bar for winamp or something. We'll see!

Well, you could Update the titles manually via
http://IP:PORT/admin.cgi?pass=PASSWORD&mode=updinfo&song=INFO

(make sure to turn off the auto title option in the Winamp/DSP combo)

But this would be tedious and probably drive you (more? j/k) insane.

That'd be wholly irritating and surely push the brink of insanity farther, considering I've already past it long ago :P I guess it's looking like pasting the lyrics to them in the chatroom or a link or some such will be the best bet.. Of course, I may not even have to do that, as most people will choose songs they know?
