sc trans
currently editing my playlist for sc trans
my list is currently playing randomly which is ok except i want to place station promos every 10 tracks or so. with a random list this is difficult to configure and the only way i can seem to work this is to set my list to play in order with promos placed every 10 or so tracks. is there an easyier way with sc trans than this??? |

that's the only way without coding some extra stuff around it, i wrote a playlist manager to allow promo play on my stream and random play around it all.

I've got some perl scripts that can schedule ads and stuff and avoid using sc_trans altogether.
Do you know if OS-X comes with Perl installed? If so I may be able to help you. BB 192k Mp3 HIGH DEFINITION | BB 24k Mp3 | BB 20k WMA | BB Community __________________________ My Host - Fast-Serv.com | Free Shoutcast Hosting - Coming Soon... |

DJ AmPs ...thanx for the offer to assist.
ok, i found out that ..... Since Perl is already installed in OS X (and perhaps already tweaked and configured to your liking), you may want to think about backing up your existing installation. Perl is predominantly located in three places: the private system library in /System/Library/Perl, the local libraries in /Library/Perl, and the binaries (like perl, pod2html, h2xs, etc.) under /usr/bin. Depending on your needs, you may also have modules installed under /Network/Library/Perl. can u tell me how i could use it? |

the one I made relies on php, but it's simple if you know how to program in a scripting language like Perl.
I am not sure if you can even run PHP on OSX. However I can't see why not given that it's BSD based. www.php.net has all the documentation you would need to make one for yourself. -Jay | Radio Toolbox.com |

just wondering if the perl script help is still on offer. could really do with the help. short of manually placing each file string in order with promos every so often i am at a loss of how to make my stream better I've got some perl scripts that can schedule ads and stuff and avoid using sc_trans altogether. Do you know if OS-X comes with Perl installed? If so I may be able to help you. |
