MEMBER OF THE MONTH

A moderator will create a new thread here in GD, in which there will be a poll, upon which you all may cast your votes. This "MOTM Voting" thread will be stickied until such time as the poll has closed, and a MOTM has been decided. The thread will then be un-stickied, and will therefore disappear from the first page, never to return. The MOTM will be notified by PM, and their chosen Custom Title will be applied.

The "MOTM Voting" thread will be posted at the very end of the month, either on the final day of the month or the first day of the next month, so that a user's contribution for the month can truly be judged on the entire month's postings.

I have created this thread solely to put your quick-beating hearts at ease and to assure that we haven't forgotten about the whole MOTM deal. It'll happen. Chill.

Word. =)

I don't know if a have to exclude previous MOTMs, but these are my candidates:

- DJ Egg, always helpful & still human
- Mrs_Mia_Wallace, for her outstanding social qualities
- ertmann|CPH, for making most sense in serious GD threads

Nominations for the MOTM are currently taking place backstage, with the moderators choosing people they feel have contributed greatly to the Winamp.com community over the last month.

When the end of the month is reached, those nominations will be counted up and the MOTM poll will be posted in here for you to vote, I think the purpose of THIS thread is just to let you know we haven't forgotten about this...

Well, this sounds like the mods will nominate 3 people that we can vote upon, just as they have announced or discussed about earlier this month if I remember correctly... So this is only an announcement not a nomination thread or jaz would have said otehrwise I believe.

(Still thank you for the compliment UK )

Mia

nope - the mods have been talking about retaking the reigns for a while. I'm personally glad to see them finally do it. This means that we won't ever have someone like Mr_007 nearly becoming MOTM.

bravo for the mods for re-dignifying this event! I can't wait to see the peopl'es confusion when members from tech support and skinlove and the likes, most of whom the regular GD member has never heard of, are nominated .

They may have written it. But they didn't write it bug-free or with every possible feature the community might desire. So craig fixes things. Most recently I asked him to fix a display bug with dark themes that prevented the printer-ready version of thread from being seen.

So there, pfft

I solemnly believe that my very own name should be in this month's poll. As I myself have contributed much and many to this pitiful, spoiled otherwise boring community. Thank you very much and good day to you all.
