Aventura'a "Obsecion" it's about un-requited(sp?)love. Well, any Bachata(Latin genre) song is pretty sad and full of emotion.

Rush - Available Light
It's sad but tinged with an uplifting feel. Sort of an ironic track. As is: Curve - Recovery |

Another sad song, which is by Vertical Horizon is called "Sunrays and Saturdays" as well as the all time sad song, and the one song I cried a thousand times to since it was a song that was first played when I broke up with my fiance is called "Best I Ever Had" which is also by Vertical Horizon.
Enjoy. |

Earlier in the post, someone mentioned the song by Tears For Fears called Mad World. Later, the song was covered by a Gary Jules which as the soundtrack to the film Donnie Darko. The song by Jules is also very sad, as well as this flash movie, which I am including a link to. It is probably one of the saddest things you will ever see. However, it is a good piece of work, and the music as well is good.

Longwave - Wake Me When It's Over
This band sound very British (in the Slowdive vein), I was amazed to find otherwise. There's some good music coming from the US right now. Most of it's imitation, but I can see new genres in the making soon.

Remember the film Watership Down? The theme (Bright Eyes) was terribly sad.
Yet it was a great excuse to grab a girl for a cheek-to-cheek (at the age of 8).

If only Alan Parsons could sing he'd have saved himself a fortune!!!!
Gene - London, Can You Wait? You can tell this song's sad from the comma in the title. Gene mimmicked the Smiths quite well at one stage. |

The Stills - Love and Death
A couple of serious subjects wrapped-up in one track (one of my faves of all time). I'm just glad it wasn't Love, Death and Financial Troubles.
