Christian Music Bands
No, not gospel. People get those two confused so much! Gospel uses the idea of singing the same lyrics that are performed at church.
Christian Rock and Pop are both a genre that sound quite interesting. When mixed together there are a few titles to choose from but there may be more. Heres a little list that a local Christian Music radio station broadcasts: Switchfoot P.O.D. Lifehouse Everyday Sunday Stacie Orrico Thousand Foot Krutch PAX217 Superchic[k] Amberlin Zoegirl RelientK I like them all, they're alright and they play some music that sounds like if I didn't know they were Christian, they are good. Already Switchfoot is being played on Alternative Rock stations, and a bunch of those are most popularly known if you've listened to them before like Lifehouse and P.O.D. are known too. I think there are others, but those are the only ones I've picked up so far. For me, it seems like there is a crave for their type of music, actually it seems that they're getting more attention than ever before. |

Not all. I listen to a radio station that is Quality Christian Music. Its not anti-christian. They somehow incorporate the belief and religion.

If it's not Gregorian chant or Rennaisance madrigals... it's not happening.

Pillar Christian Rock shouldn't even be dubbed Christian Rock anymore, seeing as how unless they tell you, you have no way of knowing it. Most think of CR as Gospel, but why call it Christian Rock when it shows nothing of Christianity in it or anything related? Scotty Doesn't Know |

Because the name of the band has an obtuse connection to some sort of Christian icon - usually "the path" or something to do with the stigmata. Oooh bloody nails, rock on.

I'm a Christian, but there aren't really any Christian bands that I like. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact I'm bombarded with it every day at school (I go to a private Christian Uni).
Bleach and Audio Adrenaline went to my school, you guys might also try: Sanctus Real Lincoln Brewster Or a lot of rhe tuff on Tooth and Nail records. elevatorladyelevatorladyelevatorladyelevatorladyelevatorladylevitateme |

There has been a lot of new stuff released lately with Christian Music Bands. Plenty of it good, and there has been a huge expansion of their music into the main stream for the masses to hear.
Good example would be: Switchfoot, been on the Billboard for over a year and half now. TFK - Thousand Foot Krutch. Yes, it is Christian, as mentioned in the beginning of the thread. Now to add to the list would be Barlow Girls, a three sister band. Also Caedmon's Call, Third Day, and Jars of Clay. |

TFK is awesome! I've been listening to them for years now. I assume they are considered CR because they never curse or anything of the like in their songs. I actually didn't know they were CR when I started listening to them.

I think Taproot are a Christian band, I quite like them. Not sure who else - there's probably a couple that I don't realise
