Winamp 2 driver

Help all!

I got rid of Winamp 3 and went back to good ol' Winamp 2 :-). But now when I try to play a song an error message comes up saying Bad DirectSound driver. Can anyone help me out?

What is your Windows OS?
What is your sound card?
If it's an onboard chip, then what is the make/model of your pc or motherboard?
What version of DirectX is installed? (start -> run -> dxdiag)
Do other players come up with the same error message? (eg. Windows Media Player)

Answer these first, and we'll take things from there.

Well, i had this problem when i updated my drivers
try Ctrl + P to go to the preferences,
select Output plug-ins
Directsound, click configure, then select the device you want to use.

i hope this will help you

Well, I was going to get to that bit, lol.
The device to select should match the name of your sound card.
