Winamp2 won't play Live radio (Shoutcast)

I'm an absolutely retarded novice when it comes to computers; I have been using winamp2 for years now, w/o problems. I've downloaded the shoutcast server and tried to use Winzip to install it. When I click to listen to a live radio station, the file won;t download and says: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have appropriate permissions to access the item."
Yesterday, I was somehow able to hear shoutcast on winamp2, and then i must have done something, because now I can't.
Any help is VERY APPRECIATED,

Try clearing your internet cache.

You could always open the stream directly in WinAmp.

I don't know how to clear my browser's cache because I am mentally challenged. Can you please hook me up again with more extensive help? I cleared all of my temporary internet files and restarted my computer. I still get the same windows response.

To clear your internet cache, in your browser: Tools > Internet Options > Temporary Internet Files > Delete Files.

any other idea as to why it won't play from live radio?

PS how do i directly stream from winamp? I have only tried clicking "click to listen" on the webpage.

Q: how do i directly stream from winamp?
A: Right click on the 'listen' link for a radio and hit something to the effect of 'copy address to clipboard'. Go back to WinAmp and hit ctrl+L and paste the url in there.

Get Winamp 2.91 or greater

make sure to get the Standard Addition, install.

Once installed, use your keyboard to key in (ALT + L) This brings up the Winamp Library, choose Internet Radio. No need to mess with ghey browsers.
