problems with third party dnas

We dont own our dnas instead we use third party dnas, but some of our listeners has a problem connecting to the radio, even though the server has been killed and restarted.
The administator said it has to do with the bandwidth , it's been 99% used, what does it mean ?

at the time of this post, there was no stream currently being sent to the server...

Also sounds like something YOU need to work out with YOUR 3rd party host.

99% used? what does that mean?

does your provider limit your bandwidth usage? or by a listener count?

I'm assuming that it means that 99% of their bandwidth is being used so it couldn't accomodate your listeners, which is bad.. you should not pay for something like that.

Also.. that's one crazy link.. is your third party provider telling you to give that link out?

so if they're running out of bandwidth, will it limit our listeners ? should i ask them to add more bandwidth or what ?

Are you being hosted by a friend or by a paid service? If it's paid service, you should get what you paid for no excuses. If you paid for 15 listeners, you should be able to get 15 listeners no error.

If a paid service, consider switching.

So, he/she is using a paid service? I would consider switching.

but before you do so, make sure with the host that it is in fact their fault that listeners are not being 'allowed' to listen.

No problem. But my two cents (.. sorry, it must be added).. I use www.djunion.com for my hosting. Go and check them out.

If you want to do some of your own shopping, check out http://radiotoolbox.com/hosts/ for a longass list of third party hosts. Good luck, lafemme!
