@Stratyon: might be a bit tricky that one. i'll keep the idea in mind but i'm not going to commit to it either way at the moment since i think that would need a lot of work being done and might not even be fully possible with the existing playlist editor. it's a good idea though, even i haven't thought of something like that. never say never and all that ![]() -daz |

Any way to make the J menu access files in ANY playlist? In winamp 3 (not sure if this was a plugin, or built in), i could search for a file in all the playlists, and then it would load the playlist the file was in, and play that file. I realise this would be more difficult because only one playlist is loaded at a time, and it would require integration with the media library, but its a feature I loved in WA3.
Edit: I admit to not having read the whole thread, so my apologies if this has already come up

One small request could you swap the "ctrl+click" and "click" functions for "manage playlist" and "view playlist"
Makes more sense, clicking to view it, and ctrl+clicking to edit/manage it. (aleast IMO), heh or you could make it an option

There's always a way to get around blocked internet access. There are so many loopholes out there, it's almost impossible to block them all. I'm actually in the process of making my own little webblocker loophole page in PHP. The current version is a 5-minute job I created during school for a teacher whose personal website was blocked. I'm working on a few regexes to update hyperlinks and forms to the loophole and a really spiffy script to download binary data (i.e. images) and display them without querying the blocked server. I hope that it'll be the premier loophole page at my school by the time I graduate (and can no longer be punished for it).
IM me if you want the link. Sorry for the OTness of this post. |

hmm. DrO could lose his job if doing so. that's not worth keeping us up to date every day.
Let's just wait for his internet access at home. eeeee eeeeeee eeeee eeeee eeeee 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 8 88 8eee8 8e 8 8 8eee8 8e 8 8 8 88 8 88 8 8 88 8 88 8 8 8 88 8 88 8 8 88 8 88 8 8eee8 |

One Request for this plugin.
For the 'Restore the last search when opening the dialog' could you make so that the previous search is pre-highlighted so you can just type, and the text is over written. |

Hey DrO, i've got another suggestion for the JTFE-plugin for te playlist.
Would it be possible to create an option "Move current playing above selected"? Easy when you're playing a song, and want to play a complete album in the playlist directly after that song, so you don't need to enqueue the whole album after playing and disrupt the whole playlist-order. Well, I hope you can fix something like that. Last edited by Rudel; 9th December 2003 at 16:43. |

it's good to be back
![]() how about an option on all three modes maybe? ![]() have to admit that feature was added in about an hour before i uploaded that version so it was likely to be changed anyway. also i would have found you're suggestion - i'm still going through over a week of posts at the moment so it'll be a day or so before i'm fully up to speed. I'm running winamp 2.91 on windows XP. Versions 9i or 92a work, but it freezes the controls on winamp. I can't even close the program without doing ctrl+alt+del. The only version that will work without freezing winamp is version 8m.
Any ideas? Really like the idea of this plug in. Keep up the good work! |

jro...
I'm curious to know why you are still using Winamp v2.91 instead of Winamp 5.0. Have you even tried 5.0 yet? In any event, as soon as Winamp 5.0 replaces Winamp3 as "the main download" at Winamp.com (will happen very soon now), if anyone posts questions in the forums concerning Winamp 2.x or Winamp3, they will be told to upgrade to 5.x. Winamp 2.xx and Winamp3 will no longer be supported. I suggest that you upgrade your 2.91 to 5.0 now, to start getting used to it. But then again... that's your choice really
Don't email or PM me concerning Winamp. Instead, either start a NEW TOPIC or post a REPLY in the appropriate thread in these forums. This will also benefit others who may have a similar question or problem. But before posting, please first Search the forums and read all FAQs and all Sticky threads. @jro: i'm not sure what could be happening since off XP systems seem to be working fine from what i can see. what plugins have you got installed? why is it that XP causes me hassle (i've tested it on 2k under 2.91 and the two OSes should be similar enough - not so as it seems )@Nunzio390: nothing wrong with 2.9x until last week that was my main version but i needed to swap to make plugin testing easier. also from my view point where i can i'll support older versions of the player for those who don't want to upgrade (where it's possible).-daz |
