Live video falling behind
I'm using NSV in my house to broadcast my baby monitor vodeo to our notebooks and also so I can see my boy when I'm on the road. It's working fairly well and i've turned down the quality and frame rate to conserve bandwidth.
One thing I've noticed is when the server ha been running for a while (like a couple of days) that the video being broadcast is like a minute behind. For a monitor is is not good. Does anyone know any setting I could change to make it keep up better? Thanks! Matt |

Hi everyone:
Unfortunately not Matt. Right now, that's just the nature of NSV. :-( You *might* wanna toy around with the audio/video sync setting to see what does, but that's about the only thing I can suggest. Either way, DO post your results as it just might help the rest of us too. :-) Cheers for now :-) Patrick Cook Proud Member - Electronic Frontier Foundation - http://www.eff.org/ Program Director Jeeper One Radio Network KPDC Internet TV - REAL Web TV Denver, Colorado http://kpdcnetradio.***********/ http://kpdcnettv.***********/ NEW BLOG PAGE - http://kpdcnettv.***********/blog.html Pat Cook WSO-AM Soap Opera Radio (Currently On The SHOUTcast YP But Website Coming Soon) Englewood, CO |

Thanks. I'll give it a shot and let you all know if I find anything meaningful.
Does anyone know of any other video streaming software that might do this? I don't even have to view it in WinAmp, I just want to be able to keep tabs on my boy with my laptop. Oh, and if the software is free, that's even better! Matt (kinda' cheap) |

There are a few video conference type software packages that are free.
You could use that to set up a baby monitor. |
