Yes. You can either crop the biutmap to not include the buttons you don't want (in some cases), or else you can simply copy the background to the file for the buttons. The buttons can still be pressed, but there will be no visual indication of it. Note that winamp.com does not publish skins without cbuttons (meaning the buttons in cbuttons.bmp: previous, play, pause, stop, next, eject).

I've left out the eject button in skins of mine before (in "Zima", at least). Obviously, some people use it, but for me personally, it's the most useless thing about winamp. I didn't skin it to make the skin less cluttered, but I included a second version of cbuttons.bmp which had the eject button skinned, and gave instructions in the notes on how to activate it. Maybe that's what you might want to do.

That half-skin looks really good in the right layout. (I put a screenshot if people are dubious of downloading it.) If they had put sliders on their eq-winshade volume and balance, I'd call it perfect. I may consider a layout like that sometime, it's cool...

same status who was afraid to post it here or submit it to winamp.com because people are picky about his notorious habit of cropping stuff...

The ideas neat. The skins are little washed out though...

I like it. Would you be terribly offended, status, if I tried to make a skin with similar transparency? I'd credit you with the idea, of course, but I'd probably do some bizzare things with it...

Whattaya mean "derailed"? I'm definately still talking about ... buttons. Check out my little "experiment" with that region idea. Isn't it cute? Stack it Main(full) on top of pl(winshade) on top of EQ(either mode)
