my nsvscsrc GUI (pls try :) (or yet another my topic here)

Hi all (probably all 3, or at most <30 )
my idea with output piping won't work: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=156513

but i came out with another idea, so pls can somebody test this thing.
i used it to stream music videos ( 3-6 mins long), don't test with huge long files coz my program copies them

btw suggestions are welcome

oops url:
http://vejas.pit.ktu.lt/~slavvita/nsv/

extract zip to some folder edit headers.txt at your taste, don't delete anything,

btw2 i included nsvscsrc, let's hope nullsoft won't get angry on me
...
btw99 tested only when proggie and nsv files on same disk but should work anyway

btw100 doing 4 reboot something memleaked, and it's not my program

I tried but your GUI doesn't work.
GUI says "u need at least 3 files to be in listbox2"
But I have 4 nsv files in the folder.

btw i know 1 "bug" if for some reason nsvscsrc stops, my program continues to "work" simply quit it in such case

Thanks! Ok now I can use GUI.
It's cool!
Because CLI can't make order of playing, unless I named nsv files like 01.nsv,02.nsv,03.nsv.....
But This GUI can!

next version please keep password after re-open GUI
please can GUI use /titles option.

password saving will add soon, but titles are impossible , because
i simply copy/rename files and when server ends sending file i overwrite it with another, the only possible way if nsvscsrc supported TITLE tag reading from files, but it don't support

Hi everryone:

A few improvements for starters would be....

A). Load entire directories and/or sub-directories
B). Have a shuffler
C). A way to save, create and load entire playlists

Other than that, it's GREAT. :-) My station is on the air now with this thing. :-)

Now to update and overhaul the station website. :-)

Cheers for now :-)

hi,
thanks for thanking

new version uploaded as usually,

changes:

remember some settings
automatically can add files to playlist*
can import "playlist"

playlist format:
line should contain full path, pvz:

d:\null\nsv\lamevp61\avseq10.nsv

there shouldn't be any unnecessary spaces, or some othr words
that's all
btw haven't heavily tested as usually

2 ken52787 it's written with delphi6

edit:

You could get a sourceforge account and throw the software on their server ? No more bandwidth or file limitations.

Just be sure to include the source

Also, you should consider labeling the different " boxed " areas within the GUI. Providing more user interaction with the software allows for a better understanding and more functionality. Just my humble opinion.

Hi everyone:

It DOES NOT add ANY of my playlist files properly. I still have to manually add each and every file. It *should* detect a playlist file just as it does the folders, but it does NOT. Nor does it have a shuffler/randomizer or a repeat option. Would you like a screenshot of what I'm seeing?

Also, does the playlist file have to be in the same directory as the GUI? Would that help?

I'm FAR frrom upset and disappointed. I'm just trying to be helpful.

Cheers for now

...
as i wrote(?) playlist and random file playback stuff is minimal and not heavy tested

playlists:

make sure they contain FULL PATH (winamp when saving in same disk as files likes to cut beginning of path))

playlist loading don't have ANY option, shufling is only from filelist (files list on right side), and only when queue list is empty

and pls post what u r seeing

2 sankt i think allready on sourceforge there are too much dead projects, why add another? if nullsoft release something own gui'ish
everybody will forget this program

Hi everyone:

Here is what I'm seeing (apologies if this seems quite large in size)

Notice how it DOES NOT detect playlists like it does folders in this directory? I've got THRREE playlyst files named "playlist in this direcrtory. One is a .pls file, another is an .m3u file, and the other is a .b4s file. It detects NEITHER of them.

Also, a randomizer could be built simply by creating a checkbox as can a repeat option.

I'm no software writer (nor do I pretend to be one), but it just seems to me that this wouldn't neccessarily be a stroke of geniusness.

Other than that, despite its obvious bugs, I really can't complain about this program. Without it, I'd still be off the TV airwaves.

Hope this helps

Cheers for now

nice work. Like sankt said, make an account at Source Forge! That way other programmers can help you out.

You can download the software here.

http://vejas.pit.ktu.lt/~slavvita/nsv/

gui031121.zip is the file you want to get

You can always use the search function in the winamp forums when need to look for information.
