cant listen 2 my station

No one seems to be able to listen to my station, aprt frm the fact I can't, when ever i get listeners, they drop of quickly. I was told to ensure that the port number i use is free on my computer, how do i do that on win98? my station is called "fresh radio uk" and whever i do the direct link from a site, i get "invalid syntax error" please help!

Im now using a different programme, called SIMPLECAST with shoutcast serve, and it says i have listeners, but when i saked my m8 to try it, she couldnt get on to it. Can somebody try, please search for FRESH RADIO UK on shoucast.com (i can neva get da direct link 2work!)thanx!
