installing shoutcast on webhost without telnet or SSH??

Hello,

this might be a stupid question.

I want to setup a shoutcast server on my 25mb, 6gb Data traffic website, which will relay my broadcast from my home pc.

25mb is more then enough for shoutcast right?

and with 6Gb datatraffic i could broadcast for like 25-50 on a limited schedule without surpassing the limit.

Also, shoutcast is allowed to be run by the host.

Downsite is, i read that you need telnet or SSH to install it (only did a brief scan of the forums), but my host does not allow telnet or SSH due to safety reasons (which is their rights). Any other way to do this???
The host runs Linux.

help would be apreciated

Cheers Micha

If you don't have remote access to the host machine, the host folks will need to setup your DNAS.

Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled:
DNAS Stuff -> Bandwidth -> CasterClub's Bandwidth Calculator

Jay (KXRM) also has a Bandwidth Calculator.
