AOL Owns Mozilla. It's an organization that they developed. So the people may have gotten laid off, but really got shifted over to The Mozilla Foundation (which once again AOL has a hand in).

AOL does NOT own mozilla. Mozilla is completely owned by the Mozilla Foundation. It just so happens that AOL paid developers to work on Mozilla, and rebranded it as Netscape. However, the last of AOL's Netscape programmers were laid off in the summer (most of them got immediately re-employed by other companies such as IBM).

So AOL has nothing to do with Mozilla any more.

To credit AOL they did put nearly $2 million towards the creation of the Mozilla Foundation.

Fortunately aol doesn't own mozilla

Mozilla >> Browser
Gaim >> Instant Messages
OpenOffice.org >> Office

open source is the door to the future

and then

wasabi.player >> mp3 player

let's see....

btw, why don't create a page at sourceforge??

We don't use it at the moment though, because sourceforge sucks in general.
