I have been up since 1:30 am and just cant go back to sleep. I do have the advantage of taking a nap later but for some weird reason I cant go back to sleep.

Are you a reader? For me, reading a book in bed is a sure way to drop off before I can get ten pages in. (If I want to read more than that, I have to sit up.)
If reading doesn't put you to sleep, try some quiet music or even the TV on, turned down low. Complete silence can be hard to fall asleep in if you're having trouble sleeping, but a little distraction can help sometimes. And if that doesn't work either, do something else that requires your mental attention, but nothing very physical. Don't do exercise to make yourself tired (as some people might recommend). The adrenaline will keep you up for hours more. A person doesn't sleep because their body is tired, but because their mind is tired. Tire out your mind and you'll fade away into dreamland. i can't either.
I had 6 hours sleep, then the next day i went to an iron maiden concert, i was on the full floor in the thick of it for about 4 or 5 hours. I proceeded to go home, shower, collapse in bed and not be able to sleep. That's just odd.

I got drunk yesterday so I really can't say I have this problem,...of course, I said and did some things that are going to either need fixing or covering today. Luckily, I have no hangover and feel pretty good except for where my heart and mind were trampled, so hopefully I'll patch somethings up and come home in a better mood.

what i recommend is a little laughter, so you'd instead of feeling tired, you'd feel energetic,
or you can put on a football helmet, and charge the bedroom wall, head first... it usually works for me, and i can get up to a weeks worth of sleep |
