Don't stay up all night, it's only a piece of software. A piece of software that isn't really that much different from what is already available (RC666). And it isn't like Nullsoft was going to release it at midnight or anything. It will happen sometime Monday during the afternoon or evening probably. It's probably going to be a lot of work to get everything going and uploaded. I would assume this will happen during normal working hours. There is no need to stay up waiting for it. It will be released when it is released. Damn.
(Nullsoft is located in the Pacific US timezone, because I know someone will ask). |

For you guys in Australia, New Zeland, etc I think will only see winamp 5 tommorow and even we here at UK, Portugal, Spain, France, etc will probably only see winamp 5 by the end of the day!
(I know it's not the same time zones)

i just d/led winamp5rc666, it was great.
but ever since rc8, i cannot use the MMD3 skin on my computer , it would say "winamp has encoutered a problem and needs to close" and it tells me to send a error report?? can someone help me?

RC 666 is working great. I've been waiting for Sonique2 for like 3 years (still in Alpha), but winamp5 is so good, I don't even think I will download Sonique2 when it goes final (maybe in 12 years at their current pace) Also, does anyone know if there are other milkdrop presets to be had other than those that ship with winamp5 rc 666? Milkdrop kicks @ss! 12 percent processor usage at 1280x1024x32bpp in fullscreen mode! (AVS uses like 95 percent on my proc at 640x480x32 in fullscreen, and 60 percent in overlay mode(with the window stretched to approx 300x200 pixels.

Methinks I shoulda been a GD mod instead of a Tech Support mod. GD mods can joke and have more fun, and it's almost expected of them. Listen up everybody... It'll be here today. But also expect some extended downtime where Winamp.com will be offline. But also be consoled by that downtime when it happens, because you can take comfort in the fact that when Winamp.com does come back online, the entire site will have been revamped, and Winamp 5.0 will be here too.

Of course, Winamp 5 IS cancelled. We're going straight to WinampX. It was determined during beta testing that a Roman Numeral will get more users than a ordinal number, and we all agreed that X is a very pretty character, what with it's vertical and horizontal symmetry.
