Sound problems
Hello everyone
![]() I'm new to that whole NSV thing and thought it could be interesting to dabble with it. I tried encoding a 90-second clip (for the record, the sample was the opening credits of the Love Hina anime series) to nsv. What I did whas rip the sequence from the DVD, I edited it in VirtualDubMod (to deinterlace it and crop the black bars) and then saved it to a lossless avi with the sound in wav format. I then tried to convert this avi to nsv using the batch encoder, the result was that the video looked ok but the sound was horrible, it sped up and down at random, making the stuff unlistenable. At first, I thought it was due to the audio frequency (DVDs being encoded at 48Khz for audio) so I tried resampling and the result was the same. Then, I had the idea of using "PCM audio" for audio output and then, it worked fine. So apparently, this problem derives from the mp3 lame encoder that nsv uses. Has anyone had that kind of problems before ? Thanks for any help. |

nope. i've done the exact same thing all week with different music video dvd's that i have and haven't yet had a problem.
why don't you encode a video in the way that doesn't work and upload it somewhere so that someone else can have a look. |

You might try finding the latest lame dll and replacing the one in the nsvtools folder with it. That fixes other bugs with the mp3, it may fix this one also.
