found a little bug with the skin (version in the skin database). there is an area missing for non-resizeable gen window frames (showed up doing some stuff on jtfe).
so it shows up a small blue box in the corner (see attachment). not a biggy but just looked wrong and gave me an hour or so of panic that my code was screwed up ![]() -daz |

Try replacing the gen.bmp with this one and let me know the results, please. Could you also try this skin for me, as I don't have the means to try it myself. My hunch is it will be black where on your ss it is blue, if so I finally found out what to put in that little square.

the fixed bitmap works and FusionAmp WA-2 has the black part as expected. seems they are a few skins around like it (i'm guessing they added to the gen bitmaps after 2.9x so it could handle the window not being resizeable)
just looking at nsdn i see that square is shown on the bitmaps there ![]() -daz |

Good, guess that little 7x7 square is intended for the non-rezisable version of the standard frame, but it would be too small for most skins as usually more bmp real estate is used for the "grabber".
Anyway, updated the skins I have control over. They will show the "grabber" for the non-rezisable windows, but that's better than a blue or black or whatever other color has been used in the skin for that square. I guess Zarko will have to update his skin now, in case he wants to include the albumlist skin in the file, I'll attach the one I made for MiniModern.(This can also be used in the modern skin, just place the 3 files in the root folder )

Zarko, you might also want to replace the Eqmain.bmp with this one, If you take a look at them, and at the working skin the way it is now, you'll see what I mean.

He means I don't think it's ever been documented what that did, i've never seen it mentioned before anywhere, most people assumed it was an artifact that was never used.

I've never heard of that square, as it's not in the GEN.BMP that comes with Skinner's Atlas. Jellby, if you're reading this, you should probably update that if you're still actively updating the Atlas.

from what i can tell, the option came in for 5.x but it may have been in the later 2.9x versions though there was no reference to the option in the 2.90 sdk so not too sure.
funny thing is that in nsdn it shows it in the image here with puts it as being a 2.9x thing well at least it's been found so something can be done about it now ![]() ref: here -daz |

That little square has been in the Gen.bmp from the very beginning, when 2.9 was still alpha (Winamp 2.9a4.5), but they kept it a pretty good secret what is was for.

Hm, didn't compare it with the default skin... I guess you're right.
Then I guess this is a "request" to the skin author to try and improve the buttons?

Yeah, they look like crap. But that's because they mimic the ones on modern skins, which look like crap also. One of the few minuses of modern skins, aesthetically speaking

In the ML, the colour of the top of the scrollbar (when it's long) seems wrong... er...

There are some bugfixes in the one on my site, but the one on the winamp site is up to Guido and Zarko, unless they agree I post this skin under the Nullsoft Skinz account on winamp.com.

Finally I’ve managed to fix the remaining problems. The skin should be available for download very soon at winamp.com.

Am I the only one who noticed how long the Position bar background was? In the Modern version, the Position bar starts at the buttons, and ends as far as your can select, or it can move. Thought I would change it.
this post contains the preview, the next post will have the files. Last edited by setsukun; 1st September 2004 at 09:39. |

There was a problem in the other zip file, somehow I added an older version of Main.bmp. New preview location.

In the classic skins, the lenght of the Position bar is fixed. When you make it shorter, you could have the slider going out of bounds. Not the best idea, eh?
![]() That being said, you were right, it was a bit on the long side, exeeding the fixed lenght and a shorter version is now available here: http://www.fusionamp.com/9-Nullsoft_...mp5_Classified

In the skins section, the skin is dated Jan. 15th, but this is the fixed one that zrco mentioned, yes?
Edit: Nevermind, this is the updated one... I believe I found a skin bug, though... In the ML, when you press on the scroll bar, you will notice a colour change in the upper section of the scroller... As if the pressed state image of the scroller wasn't updated. |

Yep, fixed. Thanks man.
Hopefully this will also get an "official" release... I think the only enhancemt most would want now is skinned buttons... *hint hint*

UNOFFICIAL UPDATES
I wanted an AMAROK skin for this skin, so I decided to make one. I ended up making a number of other updates and bug fixes while I was at it - I hope no one minds. I'm posting the updated files here so that people can add them to their own copies of the skin if they wish. And to those responsible for the skin (Zarko, Wally, GuidoD): feel free to add whatever parts you wish to the official version (and feel free to not).
Description of alterations: The dark blue background dots were buggy in the PLAYPAUS.BMP, NUMBERS.BMP and NUMS_EX.BMP (they did not match those on the MAIN.BMP). I've fixed this. PLEDIT.BMP: Made less generic-looking and more 'skinned' PL-Stack-Pressed states. Also, I fixed a row of pixel bugs underneath the title text. Added AMAROK.BMP for the Amarok plugin. Added MIKRO.BMP for the MikroAmp Plugin Removed the posbar slider from the MAIN.BMP, so that there is no slider when no song is active (this seems more logical to me). Decreased MAIN.BMP and EQMAIN.BMP to make the WSZ smaller. Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny. Updated version uploaded to winamp.com and my own site. Used all the files exept main and equalizer.
(kinda like to know there's a seeker, even though it might not be in use. )
