DVD burner recomendation
Hey... i need a recomendation. I'm looking at getting one but obviously don't trust the idiots in the store and I don't have any friends with one. Thus, this leaves me with asking the trusted folks on here with what one(s) they would recomend.
thanks, theknub When you take a hand and chop the fingers off... what do u get? That would be the knub. |

I've read that the Plextor 708A is a good, solid burner.

ive had my sony DRU510A for 6 months now and i can say nothing bad about it--its great. i bought it for like $369 usd 6 months ago, but i think i saw it down to under $200 or something at best buy. do yourself a favor and buy an actual name brand, those no-named/generic brands arent worth your time. do another favor and wait until the post-christmas sales kick in. im sure you'll find a great deal on them.

There's no need to tell me when I'm right; I operate on that principle exclusively and with absolute certainty |

Plextor is well known for GOOD drives. By ALL means, get one that does "plus" and "minus" formats.

yes, it was recommended that i get one that is a +/- drive, otherwise it is a waste. i do currently have a plextor cd-rw i am extremely happy with and would love a plextor dv-r/w
