Help needed- simple 'behind the router' setup

OK I've tried for the past 3 hours to get this to work, but I'm having difficulty. I'm not trying to broadcast over the net, however this is what I'm trying to do. I have a DJ system at one side of the house with DJ CD players + mixer + laptop. I'd like to pipe this music (using line in on laptop) to the home stereo thats in another room (having a party). So, I really need the max # of users to be 1 or at the very most 2. The receiving end will be my desktop computer thats hooked to the home stereo. The computers in my house are networked together with a Linksys router and share an internet connection.

I have eveything with the server software as well as the plug in for winamp setup on the laptop computer which will be the "broadcaster". However, I'm getting the NAK error of cannot see the computer from the internet. In actuality I really do not need it to be seen from the internet as I only need to broadcast to behind my router. What am I doing wrong? Help!

Ignore the NAK error or make the DNAS private.

This is a dumb question, but what do I put on the receiving end's computer in order to "tap in" on the audio signal?

And, I am using a Linksys router, I read the FAQs on what to do but still it doesnt seem to be getting anywhere. Hmm. Do I have to change its settings for what I'm trying to do?

Connect/Visit the DNAS from another lan machine using the lan ip of the DNAS.

Example:

My DNAS is 192.168.2.2
My development machine is 192.168.2.4 and connects to the DNAS via http://192.168.2.2:PORTBASE

I believe that all you have to do is connect using your LAN IP opposed to localhost. This may cause less errors, but as Fester said, you may ignore these if you're attempting to broadcast exclusively to LAN.

localhost is for same machine use only.

For cross lan traffic, use the lan ip.

Hmmm....I think it is broadcasting but I'm not receiving. I'm not getting any errors.

Im assuming I gotta follow the instructions under the Linksys routers under the FAQ's? Im gonna work on this tomorow its 2 AM here and I'm tired...

http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=77606

Then, the IP of the server should be 192.168.1.2 ? and instead of "portbase" I would use 8000? Am I closer to figuring this out? Thanks alot guys.

Yes. Use your LAN IP as the address and the portbase is 8000 by default.. so in other words, unless you changed it in the DNAS config file, it's 8000.
