I'm about to throw this router from the 3rd floor!!!
I just can't get this stuff to work!
I've done the things you all said here on the forum, but nothing works!! Winamp 2,91 Shoutcast Source 1.8.2b Shoutcast server monitor 1.9.2 Windows XP Pro Windows XP Pro Firewall disabled! (cause router has built in firewall) E-Tech broadband router. I attached a screenshot with my router config. And this is what i get in my server monitor : ******************************************************************************* ** SHOUTcast Distributed Network Audio Server ** Copyright (C) 1998-2000 Nullsoft, Inc. All Rights Reserved. ** Use "sc_serv filename.ini" to specify an ini file. ******************************************************************************* Event log: <12/17/03@00:33:25> [SHOUTcast] DNAS/win32 v1.9.2 (Nov 25 2002) starting up... <12/17/03@00:33:25> [main] loaded config from C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast\sc_serv.ini <12/17/03@00:33:25> [main] initializing (usermax:32 portbase:8000)... <12/17/03@00:33:25> [main] No ban file found (sc_serv.ban) <12/17/03@00:33:25> [main] No rip file found (sc_serv.rip) <12/17/03@00:33:25> [main] opening source socket <12/17/03@00:33:25> [main] source thread starting <12/17/03@00:33:25> [main] opening client socket <12/17/03@00:33:25> [main] Client Stream thread [0] starting <12/17/03@00:33:25> [main] client main thread starting <12/17/03@00:33:25> [source] listening for connection on port 8001 <12/17/03@00:33:26> [source] connected from 127.0.0.1 <12/17/03@00:33:26> [source] icy-name:Restyled Bass © ; icy-genre:Hardstyle <12/17/03@00:33:26> [source] icy-pub:1 ; icy-br:24 ; icy-url: <12/17/03@00:33:26> [source] icy-irc: ; icy-icq: ; icy-aim: <12/17/03@00:33:47> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error () <12/17/03@00:33:49> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak) <12/17/03@00:33:49> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 213.46.25.117:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection refused)) I've spend a long night browsing the forum for the answer. Well, this was the only answer i found, but did'nt work for me; Two (or less) easy steps: 1. If you have a firewall, open the necessary port(s). 2. If you have a router, configure it to forward the necessary port(s) to the DNAS machine. Check out the Sticky post titled: SHOUTcast: Important Info & Answers to FAQs. READ ME! Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled: DNAS Stuff -> Errors -> Fixing [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx) from the Internet, disable NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out) Are the necessary ports open in your firewall and are they being forwarded to the DNAS machine? Check out http://www.radiotoolbox.com/cantheygetin and see if the reported information there helps. Radiotoolbox, even tried that, and this is what i got with my router config: 213.46.25.117:8000 is Closed Reason Given: Connection refused More about this error: This essentially means that the port is open to the internet but has no services associated with it. There is no firewall protection on this port. So my router has no more protection over these ports, but it isn't doing anything either with the ports?!? I can't get this thing to work! Here some last info: Internet Public IP Address 213.46.25.117 Public Subnet Mask 255.255.255.192 Default Gateway IP Address 213.46.25.65 Domain Name Server 1 Domain Name Server 2 Domain Name Server 3 62.108.1.67 212.142.28.66 0.0.0.0 DHCP Server DHCP Leased Time DHCP Time Remaining 212.142.28.180 6 days 21:02:36 6 days 20:33:19 Intranet Private IP Address 192.168.1.1 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 I hope that you can help me out!!

Easy.
Protocol = TCP Port range = 8000 - 8001 (note 8000 - 8000 is sufficient if folks outside the lan won't be sourcing the DNAS) Redirect IP = The lan ip of the DNAS If the lan ip of the DNAS is 192.168.1.100, then use 192.168.1.100 as the redirect ip. 192.168.1.1 is most likely the lan ip of the router, not a machine. From a Windows command prompt, enter the command "ipconfig" (sans quotes) and see what 192.168.1.X value appears. |
